Serial Driver for Renesas GR_PEACH Board

I have a Windows 7 machine. I downloaded and attempted to install the serial driver for the GR-PEACH board from this link: https://developer.mbed.org/handbook/Windows-serial-configuration

After installing it, with the GR-PEACH plugged into my PC, the installer says the driver was successfully installed but Windows says it was not successfully installed. In Device Manager, the board does not show up as a COM port, but under Other Devices as an mbed Serial Port. I tried uninstalling and re-installing as an Administrator and that didn't seem to work either.

Is there another Windows 7 driver that I can try or does anyone have any advice on how to get this to install correctly?

Try the following:

1) right mouse-click on the "mbed serial port" -> uninstall the function AND select the checkbox to Delete the driver. This procedure should break all links to this USB widget and Windows.

2) Remove the USB cable used for this connection with the GR-PEACH.

3) Dock again into your PC, if possible, use a different USB port for a fresh enumeration.

Please post your results.

Also review this webpage which is effectively the same idea as noted:

Be sure that no supervisory virus scanner, etc. is active during this driver installation. Such tools may be blocking the installation on Windows.
