Bluetooth Dual-Mode modules: advertising messages in "Low Energy"-mode

Hi everyone,

I have a general question to Bluetooth Dual-Mode modules (also known as Bluetooth Smart Ready). As I know, Bluetooth Dual-Mode support both, the "classic Bluetooth" (BR/EDR) and also "Low Energy Bluetooth" (BLE). Now the question to following scenario: The Bluetooth Dual-Mode module is set to "Low Energy"-mode and operates in "Advertising, discoverable"-mode. The module operate as Slave. In this mode the module send periodic advertising messages and the average current consumption is very low. The question: Is the module then also visible for other Bluetooth modules ("classic Bluetooth" - e.g. V3.0 Bluetooth modules), which don't support the "LE-mode"? Or how it's possible that the module is visible for both "Low Energy"-modules and "classic Bluetooth" (e.g. V3.0) modules at the same time?

Thanks.

Question relating to:

Bluetooth Low Energy (a.k.a Bluetooth LE, BTLE, Bluetooth Smart)

Sidenote: I don't really have an answer to this, but most mbed boards with BLE use the nrf51822, which does not support dual mode.
