Has anyone used mbed on WYSE D10 thin clients that network to a Windows server?

A couple of our large PC labs were recently updated with WYSE D10 thin cloud clients. These connect over the network to a large Windows server cluster. The USB setup is a bit tricky since it does this data transfer over the network to get to the Windows OS running on the server. Standard USB Flash drives work OK. At first, mbed only got power and Windows did not see the mbed flash drive at all. So far, after playing around a bit with the USB options it has I can only read the mbed Flash, but not write to it. Has anyone gotten this to work and if so how?

After some additional work, it now tries to write to the mbed flash, but winds up messing up the directory and you have to reformat the mbed flash drive to fix it so that it even works back on a regular PC.
