Nucleo Firmware

Upgrade instructions

  1. Download the latest ST-Link Driver
  2. Extract the archive and run either dpinst_amd64.exe or dpinst_x86.exe depending on whether you are on a 64-bit machine or 32-bit machine. Follow the displayed instructions.
  3. Download the latest ST Link upgrade utility
  4. Extract the archive and run the STLinkUpgrade.exe program.
  5. Plug the Nucleo board to your PC using a standard USB cable.
  6. Press Connect button.
  7. If you installed the ST-LINK driver correctly above, you should see your device details
  8. Press 'Yes'
  9. You should now have successfully upgraded the firmware. If you encounter problems, please ask here.

  • Fixed the virtual comm port against a possible delay in data reception by the host (like a cache flush issue)
  • Fixed the virtual comm port against a possible communication failure during data emission by the host on some USB3 ports
  • Fixed the mass storage interface enumeration after a programming of the target application, reducing the risk to loose the VCP communication during such operation
  • Fixed the suppression of one target reset sequence during the power on sequence
