Hi Edgar,

As you can see on the board page here: https://os.mbed.com/platforms/ublox-C030-R410M/ this target is not available as described by the following note:

Please contact u-blox for further details regarding the availability of this board.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

If this solved your question, please make sure to click the "Thanks" link below!

So we have to wait a long time for all the information to be available?

Or do you recommend me to work with another board that has similar characteristics?

Regards

Hi Edgar. If you are after NB1 support you could, of course. use the UBLOX_C030_N211 board, so I imagine that what you're after is Cat-M1 support? In that case we will be offering an R412 C030 board (which adds GPRS capability as well as NBIoT and Cat-M1), however this is only now in pilot production and hence, given that the board needs to be put through RED approvals (the module has already completed this but the board needs its own separate approvals as well) before it can be used on a live network, it will likely be several months before we can offer it here I'm afraid.

What happens if the bands covered by the UBLOX_C030_N211 board,UBLOX_C030_N211 board don't meet the regional operators? I am located in Colombia, LA. The NB-IoT networks are not ready but are about to be, so, I'm not sure if the bands ( Band 8: 880-915 MHz Up-link, 925-960 MHz Down-link Band 20: 832-862 MHz Up-link, 791-821 MHz Down-link) are provided by the network operators here. Instead, the u-blox C030-R410M board covers a lot of bands (Bands: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28 (and band 39 in Cat-M1 only)); it would be a better decision to acquire it.

P.S: I am thinking about buying some of these boards before the releasing of the Cat M1/NB-IoT networks in Colombia to be ready and to know better their features.

Is there any channel to put in contact with U-blox about the mbed enabled products?, I'll be glad of having a nearer conversation

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Santiago. As you will see above, we [I work for ublox] will be launching the C030-R412M rather than R410M. The bands supported by the C030-R412M can be seen here: https://www.u-blox.com/en/product/sara-r4n4-series and are 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 12, 13, 20 and 28. The next thing you're going to ask is when will the C030-R412M be available... Unfortunately I'm from development not from sales/admin. I'm not directly involved but I do know that the approvals for the board are not yet completed, hence the board is not shown on our website. I'm afraid I have to suggest that you go to https://www.u-blox.com/en/project-information-form and ask at the "front door". Sorry!
