Very nice article. Just for interest, what tool did you use to generate the image of the code base?

Hi, It's a custom tool made by Vincent Coubard, which is not released yet. But when it happens I'll write a blog post about it too.
To complete Jan answer, atm Gephi is used as the graph visualizer, I would like to use D3 instead to minimize the number of software needed to visualize the dependency graph.
