Unable to cut and paste in macOS Sierria

What am i missing ??? I have been using a mac for a while and have been able to use the "command c" and "command v" to cut and paste in the compiler. I got a new computer and have the latest version of safari on it as well as the latest macos. When I attempt to do a cut and paste, nothing happens. If i have something in the clipboard it does do the paste so it appears that the cut is not working.

If I use Firefox i do not have the problem.

Any thoughts.

Bill,

This is mostly likely an issue with the browser, can you cut/paste in other websites using the same browser?

You are best to look towards able for support.

I i go out to the main page and bring up a code example and cut something there I can paste it in the compiler page. It looks like I can not do any kind of copy. Pastes all work fine. HMMMM
