Compat with Windows10? ...or Windows 8.x?

I'm running Windows 10 here. I installed the latest driver for the board and updated the firmware. Those steps seemed to work just fine. I then compiled the Nucleo_blink_color_led program and copied it over to the Nucleo using file explorer. Led1 flashed green and red during the download, but then nothing else happened. The program is not running. I tried another, simpler program (just blinking Led1 forever) and it didn't run, either. Is there perhaps a compatibility problem between Windows 10 and the Nucleo board? Does anyone know definitively?

UPDATE: I just tried the same thing on a Windows 8.1 box and it also failed. The Nucleo board simply isn't executing the program. Anyone have a workaround (other than use a different OS)?

...and, I should also note that I can download and run mbed programs without any issues when using the same computer(s) but with a RedBearLabs BLE Nano instead of the Nucleo.

FINAL: I eventually got this to work. Unfortunately, I don't know exactly what fixed the problem. I have to say that the ST web site and Nucleo product documentation is truly awful. Very hard to navigate and find anything.

Affordable and flexible platform to ease prototyping using a STM32F411RET6 microcontroller.

Sorry that getting the Nucleo running was such a pain. If you do figure out what was wrong let us know. I'm sure it would be very helpful if anyone else runs into this issue.
