Hi All,

I am really having trouble with Mbed board. I connected external powersupply of 12V and input from temperature sensor also connected from same source.

Now board is not booting and Not able to access the board through USB to burn new image.

Please let me know whom to contact. Note: When checked with local technician(SP Road Bangalore) they are telling complex board can't be fixed.

If you are very lucky you may have only destroyed the 3.3v regulator. Otherwise a new board will be needed. Read the micro controller and board user manual, before connecting anything to your board in the future!

Hi David, Thanks but how to correct it now..Do i need to do by myself.. Small vendor are supporting for board they manufacture.. v spend more than 50$ no support for these board ???

@Sanjay I suspect you don't have the skills to try to fix your board. A repair would cost more than a new board. So the best thing to do is learn by your mistakes and move on. You will need to buy a new board. Maybe in the future you will know enough to try to repair your damaged board. Just remember you cannot connect a voltage greater than 5v to a digital signal pin, and only 3.3v to any analog pin. Read the uC and sensor manual before connecting.

@ Thanks David, Since i am embedded software engineer i was thinking there will support from Mbed. Hope in future i will keep in mind about connecting the voltage source. From here onward i come to conclusion that "until you know hardware debugging better not take Mbed board :)" otherwise will end up like this.

@Sanjay It is not an Mbed board issue, what has occured to your board would happen to any uC. Send an email to support@mbed.org, they may well be able to help you get a repair, but i guess it wont be free.

@David: I am not asking for free..But if there is no support and to get new board looks not convincing.. Anyway thanks for your reply and let me check mailing support.. My concern is when a local vendor who make similar board for 20$ give support..then why not ARM guys..?
