Is anyone else finding the EA LPC4088 Quickstart Board serial port unreliable?

I've been using the EA LPC4088 Quickstart Board for a while now (in fact I have 3 of them) and I find the debug serial port really flakey. Even to the point that I can't load in large (well 35kB+) programs. Serial Comms drop out all the time and the USB drive disappears from 'my computer' frequently.

Is anyone else finding this? Does anyone know what I can do to improve things?

I ve got no trouble with my 2 boards...

Can you post a link of large bin file from your work so I can test it with my boards. Do you get the last firmware into your lpc4088 ? What system (pc, mac, linux) do you use to upload the bin files to the lpc4088.

update : I try the TCPEchoServer with my mbed and I get no trouble to upload and launching it. The soft works.

I use an MacBookPro with an Windows7 into an VirtualBox (from sun microsystem). Everything works...

May be an trouble either with Windows8 or with your usb cable. did you get the last serial drivers for windows 8 from Mbed ?

Have a look there : http://developer.mbed.org/handbook/Windows-serial-configuration

Best regards.

Giove us news if you find and succed to fix it.

I am trying the TCPEchoServer and using a Windows 8 pc
