Using the MX12 Library

Hello, I'm relatively new at motors and how to control them. I currently have the MX-12W being provided 12 V at 1 A with data being fed in through a buffer and tranceiver with the eventual voltage of 5 V. The board I'm using is the FRDM K64F and for some reason I'm unable to get cause the motor to move. Would you have any suggestions on where I have gone wrong?
