Markup/formatting for questions and comments
This page indicates, "Use the formatting available", but I am having a very hard time determining where to find what formatting is in fact available and how to perform it.
Can someone please point me to any documentation for the question formatting?

Just under the bottom right of the text box to enter your question there is a Editing tips link. Click on that and details of the format codes will show up. Some of the formats are fussy about new lines etc... so always check with the preview button before posting.
The main one is that when posting code put <<code>> on a blank line before the start and <</code>> on a blank line after the code.
