Power supply requirement for fully loaded mbed application board?
Hey there!
What is the power supply requirement in Watts for a fully loaded mbed application board with a NXP LPC 1768? I have an RN-XV (rev3) and various ZigBee radios and various 802.11n USB Wi-Fi radios.
What's the worst case power requirement/need?

Mbed 190mA, RN-XV 240mA + how many other bits you want to add in one go, just get the spec sheets and add them up. That will give you total current required then multiply by the voltage to get the wattage, in most cases the voltage will be 3.3v and/or 5v. Add an extra 10% to be on the safe side. That should give you an initial idea for your power requirements. I would say you would be looking at between 3 to 5 Amps with all the extra bits. ZigBee's will suck power on transmit, make sure you take the highest current scenario of each device.
