Need firmware that does NOT put clock on A5 (PTC1)

15 Feb 2015

Hi, as mentioned in previous posts, the mbed firmware for the FRDM-KL25Z puts a clock pulse onto pin A5(PTC1). I think this is a really bad idea! It requires the removal of resistor R24 to use A5. This clock is generated by the OpenSDA chip. It would be great if Freescale could provide a second version of their firmware without this clock on A5, which does not require the removal of R24. I think by far most users would want this to be the default firmware!

Is the source code for the mbed firmware available?

Did you solve this? We had to remove R24 for one board, but we have 30 more boards in a lab.
