hello everyone,
I began working on mbed projects last year and trying to evolve myself a little. So I came up with the idea of developing a wifi-remote, to access the mbed via computer or smartphone by using a tcp socket. Somehow I worked it out using rj45. However, now I would like to provide a wireless connection on the mbed. Thus I would need some kind of wifi module that is not just able to access already existing networks but to provide one by itself. I have been browsing the forum for quite a while now, but i couldn't find any simular topic, so here we go:
Do you know a low-current, inexpensive module to make this happen? I found something like WiFi Proto Board and WiFly RN-131,but are they able to establish a connection without a given router?
(Btw. I don't want to use XBee, since you can't access it via smartphone -right?)
Hope to get some good advice!
